Dr. Suguru Yamaguchi is a Professor of Graduate School of Information Science, Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, and a former Advisor on Information Security to the Cabinet, Government of Japan. He was born in Shizuoka, Japan in 1964. He has D.E. from Osaka University, Japan. His academic carrier started in 1990 and from 2000 he has been working as a Professor in NAIST. Since mid 1980’s, he has been working on development the Internet in both Japan and Asia and Pacific region. He has been a startup member of WIDE project, which is one of pioneer projects for the Internet development, since its creation in 1988. For AP region, he has been working for Asian Internet Interconnection Initiatives (AI3) from 1996. From April 2004 to March 2010, Suguru was appointed to Advisor on Information Security to the Cabinet, Government of Japan. He has been deeply involved to its design and implementation of the national master plan on information security policy and establishment of National Information Security Center (NISC) in Cabinet Secretariat, GOJ in 2005. Suguru founded JPCERT/CC in 1996, which is a first national CSIRT in Japan, and he is currently involved to its operation as a member of board of trustee. He was one of founders of APCERT.org, which is a regional forum of CSIRT in Asia & Pacific region established in 2002. He is also a member of board of trustee of Japan Network Information Center (JPNIC) since 2002.

Prof. Jun Murai is a Professor of the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University, Japan. He is currently the Dean, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University since October 2009. Former Vice-President of Keio University from May 2005 to May 2009. He was an Executive Director of the Keio Research Institute at SFC, Keio University from 1999 to 2005. He is appointed as one of the advisory member of IT Strategy Headquarters established within the Cabinet of Japan from August 2000 to July 2009, and the Information Security Policy Council established within the Cabinet of Japan since May 2005, a member of Science Council of Japan from October 2005. A visiting professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing since September 2007. IPSJ Fellow. He was involved in several technical conferences and committees in Japan.
